ABOUT CHICKY
My wife’s name was Corinne, but we all called her Chicky. This is the story of a journey from bliss to the lowest depths of grief to, ultimately, a sort of balance and perspective gained from the wisdom of time.
It is a story that evolved from a promise made before her passing to share her with the world and not let her be forgotten. Bottom line is that I promised to write a book about her and I did just that. A promise made and a promise kept.

SOME ADVANCE READER REVIEWS
“This memoir paints a compelling double portrait of a dynamic woman and an intimate marriage. It is not the usual cancer narrative of diagnosis, treatment, and suffering. Instead, it is an homage to the author’s wife—an appealing and lively woman who soon makes a friend of the reader. The writing carries us along in a stream of vivid narrative detail, leavened with humor and self-reflection. I felt the better for having read it and suggest it for any reader looking to navigate the terrain of grief.”
Miriam Sagan, author of the book, Searching for a Mustard Seed: One Young Widow's Unconventional Story
“About Chicky is about a lot! Following the author’s journey from bliss to the lowest depths of grief to finally, a sort of balance and perspective gained from the wisdom of thought and time, this is a book that got me thinking about the preciousness of my own world of those I love. Written with a captivating blend of wit, humor and anguish, this enlightening read should not be shied away from.
David Roper, best-selling author of Watching for Mermaids.
“What a piece of art and thought! Readers will experience the deep honor the author felt keeping his promise to share his love after the death of his beloved wife. Such an engaging, detailed, and insightful picture painted for all of us.”
